Terms of Use

The service

Mascotia assesses whether a food item, plant or product is safe or toxic for your dog or cat from a photo or the product name, and indicates symptoms to watch for and what to do. It also offers pet profiles, care reminders and an AI vet coach. Verdicts and analyses are generated automatically and are approximate.

Not an emergency veterinary service

Mascotia is an informational tool and does NOT replace veterinary care. In the event of ingestion, poisoning or any emergency, contact your vet or an animal poison-control center immediately. Do not rely on Mascotia for urgent medical decisions.

Plans and subscriptions

Mascotia offers a free tier (up to 5 scans a day) and Mascotia Premium, an auto-renewing monthly subscription at approximately €4.99/month (or the local-currency equivalent shown in the App Store at the time of purchase).

• Free: up to 5 scans a day, at no cost.
• Mascotia Premium: monthly auto-renewing subscription, approximately €4.99/month or the local-currency equivalent shown in the App Store at the time of purchase.
• Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
• The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Manage or cancel your subscription anytime in your Apple Account Settings.
• Apple is the merchant of record for purchases made through the App Store; refunds are handled by Apple under its policies.

Acceptable use

You agree to use Mascotia only for lawful, personal purposes. You will not misuse the app or upload unlawful content.

No veterinary advice

Mascotia is an informational tool. Its verdicts and advice are not a veterinary diagnosis or treatment. For any health issue affecting your pet, consult a vet.

Intellectual property

Mascotia, its name, logo, software and content are owned by CrawlSense and protected by law. Your pet profiles, photos and notes remain yours.

App Store terms (EULA)

Mascotia is licensed, not sold, to you, and may be used only under Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the standard EULA), available at https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/ , except to the extent these Terms expand on it. The following Apple-required terms also apply:

• These Terms are between you and CrawlSense only, and not with Apple. CrawlSense, not Apple, is solely responsible for Mascotia and its content.
• Apple has no obligation to furnish any maintenance or support services for Mascotia; CrawlSense is solely responsible for support, which you can reach at support@crawlsense.ai.
• Apple is not responsible for any product warranties, whether express or implied. If Mascotia fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any); to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple will have no other warranty obligation regarding Mascotia.
• Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims by you or a third party relating to Mascotia, including product liability, regulatory or intellectual-property claims; such claims are governed by these Terms and handled by CrawlSense.
• You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as "terrorist supporting", and that you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties, and you agree to comply with all applicable export-control laws.
• Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and, upon your acceptance, will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you.

Privacy

Your use of Mascotia is also governed by our Privacy Policy, available at /mascotia/privacy, which explains what data we collect, how the AI processing and pet-photo storage work, and the choices and rights you have.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mascotia is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for decisions you make based on the app's estimates. In a veterinary emergency, always contact a professional.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Spain, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and are subject to the mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms as the app evolves. We will update the "Last updated" date and, for material changes, notify you in the app. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
